Angela's annual show at Tyler White O'Brien Gallery in Greensboro has been scheduled for April 17, 2015, with an artist reception from 6-8pm that evening. New works to be exhibited include a new nude series, still lifes, figurative children, and marsh paintings. The festivities will include a painting workshop on April 18-20.

Thanks to Kathy O'Brien at Tyler White O'Brien Gallery and everyone who participated in an action-packed weekend in Greensboro in April! It is always a treat to come home to Greensboro and I loved meeting the artists and collectors that joined us for the Lunch & Learn Demonstration, my Sunday Still Life Workshop, and for our Saturday Night Reception. The "Local Ties" exhibition included the works of Charlotte artist Jenny Fuller and Frank Russell, both Greensboro natives, and ran through May 14.

I am excited to have shipped some great new paintings to Greensboro for hanging at Tyler White O'Brien. The show will hang on April 21st and we'll celebrate the opening with a reception on Saturday, April 26.

Charlotte artist Angela Dewar Nesbit returns to her hometown of Greensboro on April 26 for “A Weekend with Angela Nesbit”, an exhibition of her work at Tyler White O’Brien Gallery, 307 State Street.
On April 26, 11:30-1:00, Nesbit will present a figurative demo at the gallery. Tyler White O’Brien’s popular “Lunch & Learn” series provides participants with an intimate opportunity to see the artist’s techniques first hand and ask questions over lunch, included in the $20 registration fee. Charlotte artist Angela Dewar Nesbit returns to her hometown of Greensboro on April 26 for “A Weekend with Angela Nesbit”, an exhibition of her work at Tyler White O’Brien Gallery, 307 State Street. The gallery will host an Artist’s Reception on April 26 from 6-8pm, a “Lunch and Learn” demonstration that afternoon from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and a one-day painting workshop on April 27. The exhibition will hang from April 19 through May 14.
Nesbit’s paintings, with their loose compositions and thick layers of paint, have long been a favorite with clients of Tyler White O’Brien Gallery, where she has been exhibiting since 2006. “Angela's work strikes an emotional chord, and her palette knife techniques fascinate both artists and collectors,” said Kathy O’Brien, gallery owner. Andy Braitman, noted Charlotte artist and instructor, describes her work as luminous and “a narcotic surface that mesmerizes our eye and entertains our intellect”.
