We just found out the great news that my feature in Myers Park Life Magazine made the cover. It was such an inspiring day working with a team of amazing creative professionals. I have not laughed that hard in years. My normal quiet morning in the studio was abruptly energized with the arrival of the photographer, stylist, make-up artist and assistant -- as if a magnetic field had delivered them to my doorstep all at once .
Within moments clothes, make-up, equipment and people were everywhere. Makeup artist Scott Weaver had me in stitches with colorful tales of his Plaza Midwood adventures, while stylist Linda Martinez and assistant Emily Bryant were downstairs steaming clothes and pairing shoes. Photographer Erin Hubbs bustled around setting up equipment and metering the light in my studio. By the time the shoot started we were all giggling like we were away on a girls' beach weekend. Thanks to all for such a perfect day!!!

It was such a pleasure to be a part of a special event at Levine Children's Hospital this week, painting with Levine patients to produce works for auction at the hospital's upcoming fundraiser gala.
Sherrard Georgius organized a team of artists, including friends Paul Hastings, Christina Dowdy, Marcy Gregg, and Adrian Redmond, for a painting session in Levine's 8th floor playroom. We worked with a group of children to collaborate on paintings that Campagnia Fine Moulding will frame for the auction. My painting partner, Jen, and our other patient-artists were spirited and inspiring!
We also visited Secrest Studios, a sophisticated recording studio in Levine's lobby and were interviewed for internal broadcast throughout the hospital. What a fun day!
My show opens Friday April 17th in Greensboro, NC. Here is a sneak peak of the paintings that will be delivered on Monday April 13th. Please join me for the reception on April 17th at the gallery, 6-8 pm.

Angela's annual show at Tyler White O'Brien Gallery in Greensboro has been scheduled for April 17, 2015, with an artist reception from 6-8pm that evening. New works to be exhibited include a new nude series, still lifes, figurative children, and marsh paintings. The festivities will include a painting workshop on April 18-20.

On April 18-20, 2015, Angela Nesbit will present "Painting the Still Life & Figure: Breaking Down the Basics", a three-day painting workshop at Tyler White O'Brien Gallery in Greensboro. Space is limited and will fill quickly. Registration fee: $400 (50% non-refundable deposit).

On Saturday, February 7, the Charlotte art community will celebrate the 15th Annual Art With Heart at Founders Hall. This successful event is a fundraiser for Safe Alliance, which supports victims of domestic and sexual violence and child abuse and helps people build safe, healthy relationships.
I am honored to once again participate and to have my painting, "Golden Umbrella", selected for the juried live auction.
